Description
Experience Level: Entry
We need an experienced forensic bookkeeper/accountant to trace missing funds across our project accounts.
The situation:
A review of our accounts has identified a shortfall on one project. We do not believe the money has been stolen — it's more likely been misallocated to a different job and never credited back. We need someone to confirm this and identify exactly where it's gone.
What we need:
Full forensic review of bookkeeping records and cost allocations across multiple projects
Trace transactions to identify where funds were misapplied
Clear written summary of findings, with supporting evidence
Recommendations to prevent recurrence
Ideal candidate:
Strong forensic accounting/bookkeeping background, ideally with multi-project or multi-entity cost tracking experience
Sharp analytical eye comfortable digging through transaction-level detail, not just summary reports
Able to work independently and communicate findings clearly and directly
Timeline: Immediate start required.
Budget: Listed price is a holding price pending scope discussion happy to talk rate once we've reviewed the volume of records involved.
Please get in touch with relevant experience and availability.
