Please only read on if you qualify as the following, if any of these qualities are missing, your proposal will not be considered.....
Are accountancy qualified
Are proficient and experienced in setting up company accounts in Xero
Have a very high feedback rating
Can complete the task by 11:59pm 06-05-20
Can meet or beat the budget
I need a Xero migration specialist with expert knowledge of entering and manipulating conversion balances in Xero.
Two supporting excel spreadsheets are attached which help explain the task.
Basically I migrated our company from Exchequer accounts software to Xero accounts software today, with an opening start date of May 1st (therefore balances at close of play April 30th) for about 90 general ledger codes. Every single unreconciled balance affecting transaction (invoice, purchase order, credit note etc) that precedes May 1st has been entered into Xero and I believe is 100% correct. I even have a perfectly balanced balance sheet in Microsoft Excel with all the debits and credits entered against the GL's that are mirrored in Xero. The problem I have is that I obviously did the order wrong in Xero of entering all the transactions and opening balances in Xero. Now the transactions are correct but the opening balances and therefore the balance sheet is completely wrong in Xero, even though I have a perfect Microsoft Excel balance sheet. I would normally fix the figures with journals, but Xero has some GL's that cannot be changed with journals and are therefore "locked" with the wrong figures. The answer lies in the conversion balances screen in Xero, but I cannot work it out.
I can provide a copy of the balance sheet, the way it should look, for you to work too. The transactions are already entered into Xero and so are the products, customers and suppliers.
This is probably a fairly quick job for a Xero migration specialist and we need it completing by 11:59pm 06-05-20 GMT. I will create you as a user on our Xero account to make the changes. I am here to assist with 90% accountancy knowledge.
I look forward to working with a professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy and quick freelancer.
Best Regards
Chad
