Book keeping and reconcile for VAT returns

I am contacting you after reading such nice reviews. We are a small property construction business recently VAT registered and need someone to look after the VAT. We had a one person outfit who got us set up but his company got purchased by a big one and they are now doing our accounts. We would rather go somewhere with a personal touch who can help with book keeping and VAT returns and really help if we need to sort out PAYE or take money out ourselves as directors. (if its just book keeping you specialise in thats fine we can find another firm to do that) right now its taking up too much time and for us and with accounts not being our strong point its not easy for us to reconcile. We have maybe 10-20 invoices a year going out and maybe 200 items we purchase a month pretty much all coming out of one business bank account. We are a company that renovate properties. Myself and my business partner. If this is something you can help with please let me know, one less stress for us to deal with :-) We are paying more than we should now that we moved to the large accountancy firm which we dont need.
