Accountant needed to set up new Community Interest Company.

Hello,

I’m looking for a reliable and experienced Accountant freelancer to help me set up my new Community Interest Company (CIC).

Tasks to be completed

The Accountant will take the lead on the full setup process, including:

1. CIC Registration (Companies House)
• Advise on whether to register as limited by guarantee or limited by shares (most CICs are by guarantee).
• Complete and submit the CIC36 Form (community interest statement).
• Draft and finalise the Memorandum & Articles of Association (tailored to my CIC).
• Register the company with Companies House and obtain the company number.
• Ensure the asset lock clause and community interest test are correctly included.
• Add me as the founding director and ensure director/secretary information is properly submitted.
• Provide a digital copy of all final registration documents.

2. Initial Administrative Setup
• Set up a professional domain name
• Create a professional email address
• Set up a registered business address (either virtual or use my own — we can discuss best option).
• Assist in setting up a business bank account suitable for CICs (e.g. Starling, Tide, or Unity Trust).
