Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
I am looking for a UK-based financial modeller to build a complete 3-year P&L and supporting cash flow forecast for a new renewables business entering the UK market.
About the Project
I have a detailed business plan that covers market positioning, revenue logic, operating structure, and cost drivers. This should form the foundation for much of the modelling work, but certain areas will require a short consultation to refine assumptions.
The business operates in the UK renewables sector, so the successful freelancer must understand UK-specific fiscal practices, common cost structures, and typical financial expectations in this industry.
Deliverables
1. Three-Year Profit & Loss Statement
• Fully modelled, with clear assumptions, revenue lines, cost breakdowns, and EBITDA.
2. Cash Flow Forecast
• Monthly for Year 1, quarterly or annual for Years 2–3.
• Must include working capital timing, payment cycles, installation cycles, and any funding requirements.
• Should clearly identify any pinch points and external capital needs.
Requirements
• Strong UK finance experience.
• Experience building financial models for service-based or renewables-based businesses.
• Ability to interpret a detailed business plan and translate it into structured financial outputs.
• Clear, professional presentation of assumptions and calculations.
What I Will Provide
• Full written business plan.
• Initial assumptions around revenue, staffing, cost base, and operational phasing.
• Any additional context required during a brief consultation.
Outcome
The final financial model will be used to validate business viability, guide internal planning, and support discussions with potential investors or partners.
