Description of support work: We have a server running SBS 2011 Essential which is more or less just being used as a file server. Unfortunately, something has corrupted and so the dashboard is no longer accessible, meaning that although the server is running fine for now, if anything needs to be changed in the future, there is a problem.
I have spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot, but looks like a fresh install is required. Can't find the install media for SBS 2011 but have access to Server 2012 so an upgrade seems like the best way forward. The server just acts as a file server for five client computers, so nothing too fancy. I am tech savy enough to be able to install the OS but I have no experience in setting up or configuring the DNS, DHCP and active directory!
I am therefore hoping that someone could do this remotely - setting up the server so that the five client computers can access the server file. If remote access is possible too, great, but that's just a bonus. Ideally, this would be done over a weekend so there was no interruption in service in the office.
