Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are seeking a UK GPhC-registered Clinical Pharmacist with proven experience in writing or reviewing Patient Group Directions (PGDs) to support the development of approximately 10 PGDs for private pharmacy and clinic services.
The project will cover common services such as weight management, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, uncomplicated UTI treatment, travel malaria prophylaxis, and other private pharmacy treatments.
You will collaborate with our clinical team to adapt existing PGD templates, define appropriate clinical criteria, and ensure full compliance with UK regulatory standards (MHRA / NICE). A GMC-registered doctor will be involved in the final approval process.
Responsibilities:
Draft and structure approximately 10 PGD documents
Define clear inclusion and exclusion criteria
Review dosing guidance, contraindications, cautions, and referral pathways
Ensure all documentation meets UK PGD legal and regulatory requirements
Provide clinical input on patient assessment and consultation questions
Requirements:
Must be GPhC registered (UK)
Demonstrable experience writing or reviewing PGDs or clinical protocols
Strong knowledge of UK community pharmacy services
Good understanding of MHRA and NICE guidance
Attention to detail and regulatory compliance
