Sourcing Agent.

I seek an experienced procurement professional to source both heavy goods vehicles and light commercial vehicles for a business operating in the United Kingdom. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience negotiating directly with vehicle manufacturers and dealerships to secure highly competitive pricing on various models of trucks, vans and other commercial autos.

This role requires developing strong ongoing relationships with multiple vehicle suppliers across the UK in order to guaranteed access to a wide selection of inventory on an as-needed basis. The successful bidder must be able to carefully evaluate each proposed purchase based on quality, functionality, total cost of ownership and suitability for the client's diverse transportation needs.

Negotiation skills and the ability to leverage one's industry network for the best possible deals are a must. The chosen procurement agent will be responsible for managing all aspects of the ordering, delivery and documentation process for each new vehicle. Candidates should demonstrate expert knowledge of commercial vehicle specifications, optional features, financing and leasing options.

Proven success streamlining procurement, eliminating inefficiencies and reducing costs through strategic sourcing will be highly valued. The goal is to outfit our fleet as cost-effectively as possible while still meeting operational requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong attention to detail are essential.
