Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
You are a client. A potential supplier comes to pitch and they have five ideas. Would you rather...?
a) Straight pitch - pitch all five ideas one after another and have questions at the end?
OR
b) Pitch and pause - one idea, discuss it. One idea, discuss it?
I've done both both throughout my career and have a slight leaning towards "pitch and pause" (especially if there are more than three ideas)...but does it actually matter?
Has anyone seen or heard any behavioural psychology/evidence to suggest that one way is better than the other, do you have a strong opinion either way, or is it just about client communication? I.e. as long as you tell the client "this is how we're doing it", you're in the clear?
Would you be able to answer the above question and how much, please?
Thank you
