Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We require a short but professional business proposal to be used to approach and pitch to 2 large UK supermarket chains with an external retail opportunity to benefit not only their customers but them as well. The opportunity is to have one of our CashBag portable cabins placed on their car park. CashBag is a Cash for Clothes service, where the general public bring their good quality clothing to us and we pay them instant cash. We pay by the kg. When a customer brings their clothes to us, we check them (as we can only accept good quality clothing) weigh them and pay them on the spot for every kg.
The porta cabin would be placed in a convenient location on the car park that would be accessible to the customer from their store prior or after doing their shopping. The cabin will be highly visible due to the brand imagery. The business proposal will be absolute key for us to present this to the supermarkets and is a massive opportunity for us as potentially this could be an extremely high profile partnership for us. This is why I must stress that the proposal is professional and does not come across as a sales letter. We will be using the proposal to get in touch with the stores.
To give you a bit more information on us, our company is called Unicare Ltd. We are a textile recycling company that operates various projects under the Unicare umbrella. Other than CashBag we also operate a project called EcoKids which is a fundraising scheme for schools, clubs and youth organisations. Within Unicare Ltd we also work closely with our charity partners Coping with Cancer NE, National Kidney Federation and Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance to operate door to door collection services that raise vital funds to keep the charities running.
There are a lot of 'cash 4 clothes' companies around however our service is unique to other 'cash 4 clothes' as we pay one of the best rates around and offer our service in convenient places, therefore our service is extremely popular. We currently have depots in Leeds, Leicester and Cheltenham. Due to popular demand, we want to offer our services via our porta cabins in local communities so people can access us with convenience. We would like to rent an area of the supermarkets car park (no more than 2-3 spaces) where we will offer our service to the local community by placing our CashBag porta cabins there. We have piloted this scheme at Crossgates Shopping Centre, Leeds, where it has proven a huge success and demonstrated the growing demand for our services to be offered in these sorts of convenient locations.
We are also helping the environment by reducing the amount of waste that is sent to landfill which is preventable.
We want the proposal to highlight that we are offering them an opportunity of:
- maximising return on the square foot of outside parking
- being a multi purpose convenience store
- promote their CSR and how they are helping the environment.
We also want the proposal to detail the benefits for their customers in terms of earning more money to potentially spend in their store.
Proposal must be professional but creative and persuasive. It will be sent to Tesco and Asda, head offices and general store managers.
We really just need to reiterate how key this proposal will be for us to pitch to these supermarket chains. We need something that is professional but will make them sit up and take notice.
A shortlist of 2 or 3 candidates will be chosen with a conference call each for us to unsure the brief is understood.
