On-site IT Engineer

We are looking for a reliable, skilled IT support engineer to carry out on-site jobs in the London area.

We support around 100 customers, and at present only require 1-2 site visits a week to service these customers. The visits tend to be 1-2 hours in duration, and are carried out with advance warning.

It's rare for us to need a more urgent site visit, but these are occasionally required.

The typical jobs undertaken:
* Reconfiguration of router, where remote configuration is impossible (ISP change for example)
* Upgrade of laptop from HDD to SSD
* Tracing of network faults (rebooting a switch, or replacing a patch cable)
* Installation of a wireless access point
* Replacement of a server hard drive in a RAID array
* Replacement of a UPS battery
* Setup of a new PC, monitors etc

In all instances, you will have a remote support team backing you, with detailed documentation on how the systems are setup - you won't be thrown in the deep end!

You should be happy to travel within the London area, and should have access to basic tools like a laptop with an ethernet port, a mobile phone that can be tethered/paired to your laptop, network cable tester, screwdrivers, etc.

Where parts are required to complete a job, these will be shipped direct to site, so there is no need to have a car, although this would be advantageous.
