Description of support work: I need someone to help me find songs first from across Africa based on the criteria I would give. I would need direct contact to either artiste's manager or the record label involved. This person must be very familiar with the music industry and how it works. This person must be very knowledgeable about the different kinds of music across the continent (mainstream, hits, indie, local but not international hits, ethno music, etc). This person must know or be able to source information about the key players in the industry (artistes, managers, record labels, etc). Potentially attractive for this position are any of the following: musicians, music journalists, DJs, concert organisers, staff at or owners of popular music clubs, staff of radio + TV focused on music ... you get the idea.
