Description
We have three windows servers one 2008 and the other 2012 servers which IIS. Server 1 is 2008, Server 2 is 2012 and Server 3 is 2012. The plan is to decommission the Windows 2008 server. However, we have some sites hosted on server 1 and others on server 2.
We are taking around 80 websites. We will preconfigure the server 3 for replication.
Phase 1. Move the sites hosted on server 1 to server 2 and change the DNS. Once this has been done we will switch off server 1.
Phase 2. Configure IIS on server 3 as a duplicate of server 2. Use robocopy to sycnrhooze the files and database. Database and admin password for IIS site's we may need to install manually.

Kalpesh,
Thank you for the invite, But I am a little worried are you looking at the 3rd server as just a backup server or a replication server . I can setup the sync and copy for files and DB based on the OS version and the SQL version but if you use express editions or standard editions of the OS and MSSQL then it will be an actual replication setup.
Can we discuss more if possible before I submit a bid ? Migrations on windows servers are never easy .
Thanks

I am discussing with my client about this. As it's only a backup server, I'll have more of an idea today from him.
Thanks

How many sites hosted on server 1 in total?
All are .net sites?Kalpesh M.26 Jul 2017total 80 sites. Some on server 2 are live and some on server 1. Put all on server 2 and then replicate server 3 as thats the backup server.
