Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
General information for the business: Founded in 1994, Axis Tuition Centres (Axis Educational Trust) is a registered charity which aims to provide high quality, coordinated affordable supplementary education to primary and secondary school pupils in the UK. By improving pupils’ literacy and numeracy levels at an early age, we want to strengthen overall academic ability, broaden life-time opportunities, and encourage social cohesion. Axis is also committed to developing dynamic and productive new ideas about the future of education through frequent seminars, panel discussions, and workshops.
Industry: Education
Description of support work: Prepare a syllabus for three WH Smiths Bumper Practice Maths and English Books (Yr 1-2, Yr 3-4, Yr 5-6) by dividing the pages and topics of the books into two years (Yr1-2, Yr3-4, Yr5-6). Each year will have 36 sessions in class and 36 homework task. The dividing of the content should be in-line with the New National Curriculum.

We want the teacher base his/her syllabus design onto the given example/template which contains page numbers, starters, differentiation notes and suggestions as well as some extra columns to check if the teacher completed some tasks. It is important to put page number reference for every section as guidance (i.e. strands, main teaching activities, homework sections).

You will see the pdf versions of the books attached too.

The deadline of the job is end of June 2016. Once the syllabus design job is complete, we will have paid a total of £450 as long as the work is submitted fully, on time and in the desired way.

We have the right of asking for free revisions if the quality of the work is not good or the syllabus not carefully designed.

We would like to divide the job into three milestones:
1. By 10th of June - Yr1-2 syllabus design will be complete/submitted and you will be paid £150.
2. By 17th of June - Yr3-4 syllabus design will be complete/submitted and you will be paid £150.
3. By 24th of June - Yr5-6 syllabus design will be complete/submitted and you will be paid £150.

Please find the books and the template on the following link: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B-qAy9cMaLocLTUya1o0eWZMTkU&usp=sharing
Extra notes: Our Tuition Centres run at after school hours such as Saturdays, week day afternoons or Sundays as well as holidays. We usually provide block lessons like 90 minute-long English and Maths sessions which might be taken into consideration while dividing the topics and pages appropriately.
