Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the business: Finance
Description of requirements/functionality: We need an excel file with the following behaviour. In the file there will be multiple data columns divided in two groups where:
1. Group 1: Column A & B are correlated data such as Text/Figure
2. Group 2:Column C & D & E & F & G are correlated data such as Text/Figure/Figure/Figure
The number of rows can be from 1 to n, and the data from A & C can have some coincident values.
The idea would be to move the data form group 1 (A & C) in such a way that A & C are in the same row.
Example:
A B C D E F G
Text1 1 Text2 1 1 2 8
Text2 8 Text3 1 2 2 1
Text4 6 Text1 2 2 2 3
Text3 2 Text4 3 3 2 1
Then after clicking in a button it should be reorganised as such:
A B C D E F G
Text2 8 Text2 1 1 2 8
Text3 2 Text3 1 2 2 1
Text1 1 Text1 2 2 2 1
Text4 6 Text4 3 3 2 6
The data to analysed can start from the 4th row, however as this can change in the future we will need instructions about what we will need to change if the data would need to start from the 5th row or the 6th… and what we would need to change the columns that would be moved. For example, if we would add a third column in the Group 1.
In addition, we will need the file to compare the amounts from B & G and if they are not the same, it should create separate file with name “{yyyymmdd}_Errors Reconciliation” in a folder called “Errors” and a message coming up saying “There are some accounts that are not reconciled”. In the file there would be a sheet called Balances with information from the Group 1.
Apart from that we need the system to check if there is any data in C missing in A and in the other way around. Then in the file that the system created before it will add another sheet called “Missing Account” and two columns “In A from C” (if there is any data in column A missing from C, example, Text2 is missing in Column A but not in C) and “In C from A” (If there is any data in Column C missing from A, example, Text4 is missing in Column C but not in A)
OS requirements: Windows
