As we work towards our official launch, we require assistance from a competent compliance consultant well-versed in UK small business regulations, particularly those pertaining to the food, beverage and alcohol industries.

The selected candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our operations adhere strictly to all relevant legal obligations from the outset. Primary responsibilities will include registering our details with the UK Information Commissioner's Office to achieve GDPR compliance, as well as reviewing licensing statutes to confirm we satisfy all criteria for distributing alcohol and snack products nationwide. Guidance on applying for necessary permits or certificates is greatly appreciated.

In addition, the consultant must draft or adapt key policy documents for our website according to UK consumer protection laws. This entails creating a privacy policy, terms and conditions, returns and refunds stipulations, as well as a cookie use notification. Trademark registration support and coordinating quotes for business insurance covering product liability and interruptions to trade will also be required.

Organizational skills and an eye for meticulous record-keeping are a must, as the role involves helping us track statutory filing deadlines with regulatory bodies such as Companies House, HMRC for VAT
