About Me
I am a contract marketing professional that has been working in the industry for 18 years. I work with a wide variety of industries, mostly focused on B2B but have done some B2C work in the restaurant industry and tourism. I am hired to write marketing plans, manage marketing programs and execute marketing campaigns. I work with a number of creative people to execute the work - web and print designers, writers and editors.
The Situation
I am quite busy, work very odd hours and travel is a major part of my life. I will be on the road often for 10 days at a time and sometimes up to 60 days away from home. I have been turning away a lot of work in the last year and would like to take on more. Most of the help I need is around coordination so I can take on more work. I am looking for someone to be my right-hand person to fill the gaps, keep me organized, and help me keep clients happy.

- Experience with marketing and brand development
- Experience in event management and planning

Nice to Have Skills

- Has access to Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator)
- Publishing Experience with Wordpress
- Experience working with graphic designers and copywriters (or you've worked as one of the two)
What you'll be doing
Organize and Prioritize
Look at all the projects on deck. Prioritize what needs to get done and what is needed to move forward. Intake new projects and assign them to contractors via PPH, Upwork or Facebook Workplace.
In some cases, I will record client meetings. You'll need to listen to these and create a brief for our contractors.
Communication
Follow up with clients or contractors to get what we need. We'll use a combination of Upwork, Facebook Workplace, Email, and Join.Me. You'll also be asked to be a point of contact for clients when I am traveling.
Proofing
I often need another pair of eyes on emails that I write to clients, email marketing, blog articles, and social media posts. I'll send you stuff to review for me before I send or publish.
Research
When I write a marketing plan, I need someone to research industry resources, competitors, and other marketing strategies. We also actively look for opportunities for our clients to partner, guest blog, etc...
Assist
If you have access to Creative Suite, you'll be asked to make simple edits to design files and export assets for the web. You'll follow a video demo on how to make the changes required.
You'll be asked to make simple text or image edits to Wordpress websites. You'll follow a video demo on how to make the changes required.
Track Time
You must use some sort of capture for your time tracking. Especially important and the start of our relationship. Let's discuss how this happens.

I'll interview three or four individuals via video chat based on applications.
If we have good chemistry and think we'll work well together, we'll start slowly. 5 hours per week, then 10 hours, then max out at 20 hours per week.
