Well Informed is looking for a junior developer
Well Informed is an online start up based in London. We’re best known for Theory Test Pro but have produced several web apps that serve both B2B and B2C markets.
What we want
We’re looking for a junior developer, mostly Ruby, Rails and MySQL but you’ll need to work with HTML, CSS, Javascript and be comfortable with the UNIX command prompt.
What we can offer
We can offer an excellent learning environment working directly with the founders of the company in a lovely office across the road from Haggerston Park in Hackney, London. You’ll get a Mac and a big screen to plug it into. You’ll have direct impact on our flagship product and get to work on a Rails site serving over one hundred thousand visitors and millions of pages every month. We’re also keen to send our employees to conferences and encourage ongoing professional development.
What about experience?
You’ve probably got a computer science degree or something very similar. You might be a graduate, you might have up to 2 years experience, but really we’re looking for someone who can program a computer and will feel comfortable sitting down and writing code with another developer during an interview and independently once on the job.
Produce a spreadsheet listing the university, department name, contact details of the relevant careers person and how and where the job will be posted.
Spend no more than 4 hours on this job.
