Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We're TechEmergence (TechEmergence.com), an online platform for trends and insights in artificial intelligence. We interview the world's top AI executives and researchers, and produce research (like this: http://bit.ly/2lKU7GO) and articles (like this: http://bit.ly/2n0dgop) which are featured and mentioned on the biggest tech publications (TechCrunch, VICE, VentureBeat, Xconomy, and more).
Over the past year, we've 20x-ed our organic search traffic, and since receive a recent round of funding, we're looking to bring on a part-time team member to help us grow our online content, and help with our important research into the AI industry.
If you're passionate about tech or AI, and you're a self-described "perfectionist" (who likes to work on their own time and at their own leisure without a commute or a formal "boss"), then this position will be ideal. If you're NOT into tech, and you're NOT a perfectionist... or if the idea of working remote is a turn-off for you, then this isn't a good position for you.
Here's an idea of what the job would entail:
- 30-40 hours per week of work
- 2-5 meetings per week, ranging from 30-60 minutes in length. All other work time will be autonomous, and can be done when and how you like. We think that people work best when they work WHERE and HOW they like... and WHEN they feel good / creative.
Work will include:
- Helping to write case studies on real-world applications of AI (like this: http://prntscr.com/eg2un1)
- Organizing and setting up interviews with top AI executives and AI researchers
- Populating profiles of AI companies (like this: http://prntscr.com/eg2v95)
- Reaching out to potential survey respondents to get research data (usually AI execs and researchers)
- Categorizing and sorting AI companies to help build our AI insight platform
- (similar research and writing tasks)
Does this sound like work that you'd enjoy? We'd love to be in touch.
How to apply:
- Include a short 1-2 paragraph cover letter including (a) what jumped out to you about this position, and (b) why you think it's a great fit for your skills and experience
- A LinkedIn profile with resume history there (no need to send a PDF resume)

Hi Daniel, I would be interesting in bidding but can't commit to 30-40 hours per week - more like 10-15 max 20. Is this something you would consider?
thanks

Hi Daniel,
Are you looking only for someone US based? Also, you said initially that you were looking for someone to come on board as a part-time team member yet you're proposing 30-40 hours work per week. just wondering if you're looking for more of a full time commitment.
Thanks
Michelle
