About us
SoCal Community Homes is a supportive housing provider in Riverside County, California. We operate furnished shared homes for veterans, seniors, adults on SSI or SSDI, and people reentering the community after incarceration. We are small, we are growing, and we treat the people who work with us as part of the team.
About the role
We are building a network of referral partners: case managers, social workers, housing navigators, and program supervisors at county agencies, veteran organizations, shelters, reentry programs, and nonprofits across Riverside County. These are the professionals who place clients into housing. When they know us, they call us.
You will do both halves of this work. First you find these people. Then you reach out, introduce us, and build enough trust that they agree to a 30 minute meeting.
This is not sales. There is no product, no price, no close. Their hardest problem is finding a safe, available bed for a client who is ready to move. We have beds. That is the whole conversation, and most of them will be glad you called.
Research:
Build a verified contact list of 200 referral partners across Riverside County. For each one: full name, job title, organization, direct email, direct phone, city, and organization type. Named individuals only. General info inboxes and switchboard numbers do not count. Spread contacts across organizations rather than concentrating on any single agency. A list of cities will be provided
Outreach:
Send personalized introduction emails using our templates. Make friendly follow up calls to confirm you have the right person and invite them to a meeting. Book confirmed meetings on our calendar and send reminders. Log every call, email, and outcome in a shared tracker. Follow up on a set schedule so nothing goes cold. Keep relationships warm with periodic check ins on bed availability. Continue adding new contacts to the list as you discover them.
What success looks like
In your first XX days: a clean verified contact list, consistent weekly outreach across it, a steady flow of booked meetings, and a handful of agencies who recognize our name and reply when you write. We will set weekly targets together after training.
What we need
Excellent spoken English with a clear, warm, unscripted phone presence. You will speak with government employees and licensed social workers, so patience and clarity matter far more than speed.
Error free written English that does not read like a mass template.
Strong online research skills. You should be comfortable digging through organization websites, staff directories, LinkedIn, and public county listings to find a named person and a direct line rather than settling for a general contact form.
At least one year in appointment setting, B2B outreach, lead research, client relations, intake, or similar work. Experience with US organizations is strongly preferred.
Headset, computer, quiet workspace, reliable internet, comfort with Google Sheets, Gmail, and Calendar.
Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement. You will handle professional contact information only, never resident information.
Terms
This is a long term role and we expect hours to grow as the network grows. Keeping other clients is fine as long as your calling blocks are protected.
How to apply
Subject line: Outreach VA + [your city] + VILLAGE
Answer in your own words: Describe a time you contacted an organization and had to find the right person to speak with. What did you actually say? And why would a social worker want to hear from a housing provider?
Attach a 30 to 60 second voice recording introducing yourself and explaining why a case manager should consider our housing for a client. A phone recording is fine. We want to hear how you sound and how you think.
