Description
Experience Level: Entry
We're putting together a hypothetical survey and have numbers of females and males participating in an ADULT SURVEY (please dont apply if your sensitive to this type of content)
We already have overall percentages of age groups and what percentage responded, but we want to break these down into genders. It's worth noting, that the data can be anything you put - as long as the math works out.
Example, heres the amount of participants sorted by men and women (age groups)
Male age group
18-21 (Post-Milennials) 1532
22-37 (Milennials) 2404
38+ (Generation X) 1064
Female Age Group
18-21 (Post-Milennials) 1748
22-37 (Milennials) 2694
38+ (Generation X) 558
So the data looks like this:
Question, how many times is X done on X
answers:
Age group: 18-21 year olds - 0-1 times - 11%
age group: 18-21 year olds - 2-3 times - 36%
Age group: 18-21 year olds - 4-5 times - 31%
Age group: 18-21 year olds - 5 times + 22%
So the above data includes both men and women. What we want to do is sort these into how many males and females made up the 11, 36,31 and 22%
So we know that there's 1532 males in this age group and 1748 females = 3280
11% collectively said 0-1 times - I need someone to organise the break down in gender that correlates to the total number of males and females participating.
Again, this data doesn't exist, I'd just want you to use my percentages that I've given and work out what that breakdown would look like between males and females.
So in the example above, it would mean that if 11% of 3280 said 0-1 times, that's then 360 that answered (both males and females) - I need to then make up the breakdown of genders so that the total percentage correlates to the total participants for this age group of males and females.
I.E you could say the 11% is made up of 167 males and 193 females (total 360) which means the remaining percentages would have to equate to the same number of participants.
I've attached the spreadsheet - please look it over try to understand what I mean
I need this by tomorrow.
Thanks!
