Help with Some VBA coding for an excel spreadsheet

Hello
I just need an hour or two's help with some what you would think is really simple excel help. I am designing a spreadsheet for a client to keep track of their hours. Its ending up being more complicated then I imagined and as I had never done any macro coding before I have spent hours teaching myself from the internet. I now have a deadline for the first week on May and lots more work to do. Anyway enough about that here is an outline of the work.
. To work out a problem with hiding a revealing rows using macro buttons.
. To show me how to highlight a column with today's date on it, I have already working out how to highlight the cell with today's date.
. To lock the coding when I have finished ready for use without messing up the macro coding.
If what I have asked above will only take you a short time sort out then I would like any suggestions for simple improvements which someone of my basic knowledge could do myself.
