Description of excel work: I want statistical analysis to be done in excel (xlsx versions only), to show a variety of analysis of the data. This analysis must be done using functions and formulas only so in future I can apply these methods to other projects.
VBA can be used but I’d rather most of the list are done without and I would like to know if VBA is to be used. If VBA has to be used I want to know a written process explaining every step. Ideally each request below should be on its own excel sheet with annotations explaining which formulas used and any workings explained. I would rather have lots of sheets than everything together on a couple of sheets. I don't need to see charts.
I would like to see the following:
Request 1. List the ID's that have a declining trend of Variable A in the last three months listed in order of biggest declining trend. I do not understand the different types of trend analysis so I am happy to see a few methods but would like to see a ‘preferred method’ along with a short reason why that method is used.
Request 2. ID’s where the last three values for Variable A have decreased from the previous reading, consecutively.
E.g, Today is 35, yesterday was 40, day earlier was 45, day earlier was 50.
If there are none which follow this, show list of ID’s where the last two values for Variable A are decreasing.
Request 3. Do the opposite as Request 2 for Variable A but this time for increasing values.
Request 4. Show the ID’s where the last 5 values show a negative trend for Variable A. This is different than number 2 as the values don’t need to be consecutively decreasing as long as there is a negative trend.
Request 5. For IND_4002 and IND_4003 show the biggest reduction in Variable A between two consecutive readings.
Extra notes:
