Hi

I am a bookseller and want to find out a fast way to convert my book data, which I get in various excel formats, to a standard format so that I could upload it onto my Website.

Is there a program that you could develop to automate this conversion.

I am attaching a sample of the data I get from my Suppliers. I would want this data to automatically convert the following fields, which I require for my webdata:

Supplier code (which should be the name of the publisher/Suppliuer), Bookcode (which is same as ISBN), Author, title, Subject (which a lot of suppliers give as heading), Currency (which in most of the cases is INR), but this could be other currency too), Price, Year, Bibdata, Publisher (which could be the same for one particular list), annt (Optional)

    I have some questions before I can submit a proposal.

    First of all you have shown one sample spreadsheet. How many different formats do you have? Potentially it will be a slightly different extraction process for each format.

    What format does your website require? Is that also an Excel file, but containing the combined data that you need? If your website is able to read it automatically you would need something more specific.

    there are a few different formats that we get the files in. WE need to converet them to an excel file which need to have some required columns. The filal output required is in excel format too

    Thanks for getting back to me. Would it be possible to see an example of each different type of format? Each different format will require a separate piece of VBA code to extract the required data so the number of different formats determines the size of the job.
