Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Bond trading
Industry: Business
Description of excel work: Create pivot table, graphs and charts in Excel
Design and target audience: Court
Extra notes: The Excel spreadsheet has 3 tabs. The Master tab contains aggregated firm data for quantities, p&l, number of allocations, etc. The other 2 tabs contain broker data in 2 different formats. The goal of the project is to automate the process of overlaying the individual broker allocation amounts for comparison against the aggregated data using various data points, and then create charts and graphs with the user adjustable data points. In the end, we’d like to be able to quickly kick out the following charts and graphs when we specify the data we want the pivot table to include.
1) Graphs: given levels of average % allocation (based on oversubscription) (order/oversubscription rate)
a) oversubscription rate for different ranges of profit per mm
b) oversubscription rate for different ranges of loss per mm
c) oversubscription rate for different ranges of prices up in the grey
d oversubscription rate for different ranges of prices down in the grey
2) Bar chart: percentage of time we were allocated zero for certain gross profit per mm ranges when we received allocations from at least 2 other brokers
3) Bar Chart: for given oversubscription levels, bar chart of total allocations for different ranges of gross profits per mm
4) Bar Chart: for given oversubscription levels, bar chart of total allocations for different ranges of gross losses per mm
5) Bar Chart: for given oversubscription levels, bar chart of average allocations for different ranges of gross profits per mm
6) Bar Chart: for given oversubscription levels, bar chart of average allocations for different ranges of gross losses per mm
7) Pie Chart: % of allocations from each broker for different ranges of gross profit per mm on good deals
8) Pie Chart: % of allocations from each broker for different ranges of gross loss per mm on bad deals
9) Graphs: For given levels of oversubscriptions, amounts deals we're up in the grey on the x-axis vs. average allocations on the y-axis
10) Graphs: For given levels of oversubscriptions, amounts deals we're down in the grey on the x-axis vs. average allocations on the y-axis
11) Graphs: For given levels of oversubscriptions and underwriters, amounts deals we're up in the grey on the x-axis vs. average allocations on the y-axis
12) Graphs: For given levels of oversubscriptions and underwriters, amounts deals we're down in the grey on the x-axis vs. average allocations on the y-axis
