Can you convert a template i developed in |MS-word into excel?

I have prepared an economic and financial analysis report in a template form using Tables in MS-Word. I'd like to convert it to Excel because it offers a database structure where information can be quantified and I can do math and later query the information, extract it and build reports.

I used Word because the reports I develop (write) have narratives which are sometimes 2-3 paragraph explanations. If you know how to convert my template into Excel so that it can be easy to write narratives in merged cells and organize the template so that it is easy to extract information, later, I'd like to get a quote. the template is about 15 pages.

My template has many sections and it would be great if you could convert each section in a different worksheet tab. but at the end when i want to print my report, i would like all Tab-pages of the worksheet to print sequentially, with one-click of the print button.
