Business Conference Support Person

An international conference based near London Heathrow Airport on 8-9 February 2012 requires an experienced person, or two, who have managed and / or supported international business conferences "on the day". If you have broader experience in organising a conference, then that may be an advantage, but not essential because we are already rolling pretty well.

Duties include dealing with registration desk, admin (badges, last minute changes and payments), issues that pop up, holding microphones during Q&A sessions, liaising with hotel team, other relevant duties as requested by the Event Director, etc.

Experience is vital and you should list your experience together with references whom I can contact if you are shortlisted. Foreign languages are useful but not essential, however what is essential is understanding and empathy and support of international business people for whom English may be quite difficult for them.

You should live within reasonable travel distance to heathrow since overnight accommodation is not offered.

The assignment is intended 0800-1900 on 8 Feb and 9 Feb and possibly for the Feb 7, If you are available, and we have the need, then we may also possibly request your support in the days before the event.
