Description
Experience Level: Entry
I want to adjust the margins of the document, linked below, which is for a book.
1) The 'inside' or 'gutter' margin --the margin at the binding of the book should be: 2.2cm
2) Top margin: 2.3cm
3) Bottom margin: 1.2cm
4) Outside margin at edge of pages: 1.2cm
I want to maintain paper size at 197x132mm.
Obviously the inner and outer margin are at opposite sides for odd/even pages. I think Word does this automatically with 'book fold'.
This should take 2 seconds --I do not want you to format the book, simply apply these margins to the entire document. I have tried to do it myself but for some reason, it seems to screw up the document, it doesn't look right, and page count doubles ---which is certainly not what should be happening as this adjustment certainly does not half the space on each page! When I apply these margins it makes the page count over 600 pages, and i think it's something to do with the book fold option.... I do not know if i am experiencing a glitch or something... Whatever the cause I do not know how to solve this problem myself..

Peter,
Like it or not, the document needs some formating either, because:
1. Most of the paragraphs are justified but some not and some has right margin with a minus sign and the effects you are getting are not that strange
2. The page numbers are in boxes, as apposed to be directly in the headers and those boxes have positionning and changing the layout format may reposision them so they should be redone, and with no boxes.
So kindly reformulate the project and I will be very happy to send a proposal.
Best regards,
Nikolay
