Business Development & Relationship Manager

We are a firm of accountants and tax advisers who specialise in advising freelance contractors and consultants in the UK. We are based in London but our clients are based all over the country.

We do not specialise in any particular industry but our clients seem to come in the form of Graphic Designers, Engineers, IT Contractors/Consultants, Financial analysts, Oil and Gas specialists, etc.

We are looking for someone to build relationships with recruitment agencies who find short term and long term contracts for freelance contractors and consultants.

The aim is to get the recruitment agencies to refer their candidates (freelancers) to us for their accounting and tax advice.

You will be building and managing the relationships with the recruitment agencies.

We will be paying the recruitment agencies a referral fee for each freelancer who joins our monthly accounting service.

For you there will be a small hourly pay and then a commission structure where you will earn in the region of £80.00 for each freelancer referred to us by a recruitment agency that you have developed a relationship with.

As an example if an agency refers just 10 freelancers a week and 5 of these sign up you will receive a commission of £400.00 - this is a very conservative example as you could manage numerous agencies referring any number of freelancers.

There is some serious potential to earn a great deal of money for the right person.

You must be confident, approachable, likeable - able to build a strong relationship with someone in person as you will need to meet with the owners and managers of agencies.

You do not need a great understanding of accountancy or tax - we can teach you all you will need.

We are outsourcing this role so you will not be an employee of ours, you will be self-employed. You will have to provide your own phone and pay for your own travel expenses. We will however prepare your personal tax returns for your self employed business each year free of charge and if you are hitting targets then we can discuss a form of bonus structure.
