BTEC IT ASSIGNMENT - Network Activities

For this first task you will need a client server network. On the server machine you will need to install nmap software (search nmap or see Sources section below)

Using NMap you need to utilise the various commands available and get the configuration of at least three machines on the network.

You must perform regular maintenance activities as stated in the range statements. These include (but not limited to)
1. Backup and restore files
2. User account creation and deletion
3. Design and develop login scripts
4. Virus scans
5. File cleanup


These activities must be performed on THREE different occasion and must be placed in a detailed log

The small business that you have been working at has very little in the way of security practices at the organisation.

For this final task you need to create a full-page flyer detailing a thorough security policy covering the entries in the range statements.

Remember to use clear, non-technical terminology. Where you need to use technical jargon, make it simple enough for a non-expert to understand.

This is a one-page flyer so make sure your presentation (i.e. font, size, colour etc) is appropriate for the audience. This poster is for employees aged between 20 and 60.
