Bookkeeper for small technology startup

We are a 3 year old London based tech start up who make mobile apps for small businesses using our own self-service platform. Most sales come through our online billing portal with no suppliers used so the bookkeeping is quite minimal at the moment but growing quite rapidly.

We would expect the need for 2 hours bookkeeping per week with perhaps an extra few hours at the end of the month to run a simple management report. Our accountant is based in London but has suggested that it could be costly to use them for such low level bookkeeping.

We use Freshbooks for invoicing our clients although are happy for you to use QuickBooks or any other system for your work.

If 2 hours a week is too few there is scope to lengthen the hours to include other admin duties such as customer billing reports and app usage reports, although they would not be strictly accounting duties.
