Background for an existing website, both the design and instillation of the background

The background of the site will be a graphic design ‘tour de force’ a beautiful piece of graphic design encapsulating all that the ‘Violet Night’ brand is. It should have an industrial feel, harking back to the feel of ‘Steam Punk’, it should have elements of graffiti giving the feel of the street punk genre. It should have elements of tattoo art representing both the ‘Pin up’ and ‘rockabilly’ side of punk and should depict the gothic alternative side of punk as is shown in the filigree of the ‘Violet Night’ logo. The overall feel of the background should be urban and industrial. Here at Violet Night we do appreciate the history of punk, for example the iconic union jack anti establishment sex pistol album cover, 24 hole Dr Martins and spiky Mohican look, but, we are trying to get away from it. So the background should not be stereo typically punk. As Violet Night will be selling the classier higher end of punk clothing with a seasonal input from high fashion, creating collections that are elegant and wearable every day, the background should depict this.
