Asp.net Div update every 10 seconds

This is a small but functional job for someone who knows what they are doing and will lead to more regular work for the successful candidate.

I need to extract x amount of occurrences of a text data field from a database and display each occurrence into a div on my aspx webpage.

I don't mind if JavaScript, jQuery, php and or Ajax is used just as long as it does the job. I don't need the database extraction code I just need to see what structure you put extracted data into and the code to use for displaying,delaying and retrieving next on page.

preferably looking for someone who uses own initiative and has a good background in functional websites using. Net.
