We are seeking a freelance artist to create 3D models and set art for video gaming applications. Candidates will have strong 3D modeling and texture creation skills, with a working knowledge of Maya or 3D Studio Max. Knowledge of animation techniques and UDK3 are a plus.
Candidates must have good communication skills and be able to meet reasonable project deadlines.
The artist will be working with a small team of university researchers, including game designers and programmers, to create 3D art for use in video games for safety training. This is contractual work paid at a rate of $40 to $60 per hour, consummate to experience. This is a federally funded project, and the candidate must be a US citizen or cleared to work in the United States.
