Article writing for printed publication

I publish a community magazine and I want a couple of articles written on subjects that would be interesting to a mature audience - the sort of features you might see in Saga magazine for example. Each piece would only need to be around 800 words long and I'd want the same article precised to around 570 words.

The writer will need to suggest the topics and we would approve and leave them to write.

Obviously excellent English language, spelling, punctuation is required, but also an understanding of culture so this job is only accepting bids from the UK.
