Android/iPhone App to photograph documents and send them to us

Invitation for Proposals from Smartphone App Developers

Both iPhone and Android versions will be needed but we will consider proposals for one or the other or both.

Overview: The basic requirement is an app to allow users to email photos of documents to us. The objective is to have something slightly better than the standard 'email a photo' capability in the following respects:
1. allow a set of photos to make up a single document (i.e. multiple pages)
2. fixed sendto email address so users don't need to enter the address
3. (optionally) some capability to see a list of the docs photographed/sent so that pages can be reviewed/replaced etc.
4. a simple registration/"about you" function to capture/send some basic user data (with each doc sent)
5. branded as "Wake up your Wealth" see www.wakeupyourwealth.com

The app will be free to download/use and the user will receive a free report (by email) in return for the info provided (opportunities for monetisation come later in the customer lifecycle).

We are open to suggestions/innovations for how best to develop this, with the following criteria:
1. Keep initial cost as low as possible to "get something out there" and see if there's any demand.
2. More sophisticated features can be added if the take-up warrants it

Preliminary outline specification (subject to the above comments and developer ideas for improvement)

Step 1: Register/About You
Setup "From" email (follow user's normal default/behave as per normal smartphone email)
Name (inherit from phone/email setup?)
Current Age
Target Retirement Age (pull-down select from 55-75)
Accept Terms (check box)
Button [Continue] >> stores data to be included inline with each document being emailed.
Step 2: Display document list (initially empty)
Step 3: Button [Add new document]
Select Document Type (choose from "Pension Statement" (default), "Letter of Authority", "Other")
Message "Take a photo of page (n) now" [OK] > launch camera, take photo
Message "Page (n) done" buttons [Add another page] [No more pages]
Repeat until no more pages
(If simple) screen to preview photos/pages and re-take if neccessary before [Submit] >> emails photos to snapshot@wakeupyourwealth.com
(If above not simple) just email the photos when the user selects [No more pages]
Step 4: Display document list
eg "Pension Statement 1" with number of pages and (if simple) option to open/preview the relevant photos, delete/replace page, add another page, resend etc.

User may add as many docs as they like (i.e. back to step 3) - each 'complete' doc (set of pages) is emailed when done.
