Android App Development Assignment for New Radio Station App

Development Assignment: Android only (Smartphones & Tablets)

So, its an app for users to be able to simply listen to the radio station on the fly, have their tweets to the radio station's twitter account show live on the app, simply check on the latest radio schedules and receive in-app push notifications at times - that's it.

- Develop the app for it to work on any Android devices from 2.2 up to 4.3 using all the tools available to you from the Android developer page.
- ALL package names and coding should be referenced using the mobuapps.com domain as developer name so com.mobuapps.africaukradioapp etc...no personal reference to your name should be entered anywhere.
- Use your access to MOBUAPPS Google Cloud mobuapps-project-01 in order to link the app to the respective needed APIs.
- Use your access to MOBUAPPS Urban Airship account to link the app accordingly for push notifications to work. All notifications will need to appear each time within the respective UI section.
- The 'more-action' button should simply bring down a single drop down menu called CLOSE APP to allow the user to close it completely if he/she doesn't want to listen to the radio anymore.


- Two core sections: ON AIR & SCHEDULE

1. PLAY & PAUSE button on the top horizontal action bar

- Each time the customer clicks on the app for the first time, the radio streaming should start playing automatically and use either the device's speakers or the headphones section if the user connects headphones to the device or via bluetooth if the user has a set of external bluetooth speakers.
- If the user decide to continue to use his device to access another app, or a document or a internet browser, the radio station should not stop BUT continue to play in the background.
- If the user wishes to pause the radio streaming or close the app then the user will need to go back into the app to do that.

2. ON AIR section

- While the customer has the app opened on this ON AIR front page, the picture section will display a slider of different pictures related to the radio station etc. I will supply you with the pictures to use soon. Please confirm the right different picture sizes you will need for each type i.e. Android smartphones/tablets).
- Secondly the bottom section should be linked to the customer's twitter account and display live tweets sent to the radio station.

3. SCHEDULE section

- This section should display every single daily shows as a basic listing - linked to the radio station's existing web server where they once in a while update their schedule for it to show on their web site - so we want to same for the app too.

4. 'Developed by MOBUAPPS' section

- Please make this small section on each page clickable for it to open mobuapps.com.
