Advice on excel formula

Hi, I urgently need an excel formula written to sort a data set . I have a unique project ID in column a and a reference in column b then details in 4 columns e, f g and h. I need to move the data in rows into the columns so that I am left with the unique ID and a single row with the unique I'd and 52 columns (being 13 possible references and the 4 columns for each). Vlookup will not work because each unique ID does not have all 13 references. Need an excel guru to tell me what to do please!
