I am wanting a website similar to www.ratedpeople.com

Simpler means of payment. No need to pay for leads and jos. You sign up and pay £10 every month which allows you to use the website and receive alerts and leads for customers. Initially there would be a promotion of 1 month free. Each time a customer posts a job on it goes to 3 tradesmen/contractors that are best matched to the job and location. The 3 local contractors can then post a quote online or ask to see the premises. The person can choose whichever contractor and after the job is completed rate the work carried out by the contractor.



If you can have a look at the above website and can tell me firstly if you could design and develop a similar website and if so what would it approximately cost.

The spec would be very similar...2 log ins....one for tradesman and one for users to post jobs both with differing functionalities. A subscription system for the tradesman to pay every 3 months to continue to use the website and recieve job alerts. I would require branding logo design etc and would like the website to look professional similar to rated people.
