A Challenge for a Web Technologies Expert

We're at the research phase of choosing a suitable technology for the web interface of our new tool. We're looking for a front end expert who has extensive experience with different technologies to advise us on the pros and cons of various technologies.

You will be shown a similar application to ours to see exactly what we require our web interface to do. GWT is a strong candidate at the moment. You will need to confirm this choice or suggest better alternatives with an explanation of advantages and disadvantages of each.

This role will mainly involve us talking over phone/skype to go through what is needed. There is not much writing at this stage.

The server is implemented in Java.

You need to:
- Have excellent experience with GWT and other similar technologies
- Have experience with various client-server protocols (RPC, REST, etc.)
- Speak very good English
