Outline & Structure: Sunday 15th May was the National Launch for the 'Upstart' Campaign.

One of many launch events took place in Dalzell Estate - Motherwell.
Family outdoor play event called 'Time to Play' we had 50+ people enjoying activities such as den building, mud kitchen, tree swings, toasting marshmallows round the fire. Lots of families keen to find out a lot more about the campaign.

Organisations involved in volunteering at 'Time to Play' event were OutLET: Play Resouce, Muddy Adventures and Wildly Wise - all forest school and outdoor play practicioners.

Upstart Scotland is a campaign to introduce a Kindergarten stage for children aged between 3 and 7. This would provide a play based education for children with the age of fomal schooling beinging at 7 when children are developmentally and emotionally ready. In line with countries such as Finland who have arguablly the best schooling.
