3D video projection mapping for fashion industry

Hi there I own a small luxury jewellery brand It has been a dream of mine to incorporate projection mapping into the showcasing of my jewellery for some time but struggled with a concept - until now:

I saw the above video the other day and I was immediately captivated by this incredible art form and as it turns out the guy who made these puppets (and played to the crowned heads of Europe ) is still alive (93 years old)!

Long story short- I have recieved permission to use the puppets to produce a live showcase and fashion film for my brand. Here's where you guys come in. I wonder how difficult / expensive it would be to create a projection for a miniature catwalk show for a live audience so that the marionette artists appear hidden?

I'm hoping to incorporate the city of London and perhaps use some effects like rain and get really creative with it. The show is only 5-10 minutes long. Here's a link to the kind of video projection I'm talking about: http://vimeo.com/18460233
