I need a researcher in mechanics of materials
The work on annular circular thin plates is to develop and use the Galerkin variational method to solve the flexural problem involving annular circular plates. A second branch of the work would be to solve the same problem using the Least squares weighted residual techniques and Airy's and Lima's methods. The plan for the research work is as follows: 1. write the derivation of governing equations in details. 2. write a section about these 2 methods (Galerkin and WLS) with their algorithm. 3. apply these algorithms to solve the governing equations. 4. perform numerical analysis with abaqus/matlab/etc. and we compare the results. 5. finalize the paper.
