Hi Simon, I would like to apply for the Marketing and PR role. I am currently a self employed Marketing Manager and work on a Freelance basis for several clients. I have a 2.1 Honours degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications, a degree approved by the CIM and have developed these skills further by working as a marketing assistant at a local marketing agency and then as a self employed marketing manager. My work has included developing marketing and PR strategies, copywriting, research, telemarketing, bran development and developing new ideas to win clients and promote their businesses in fresh and exciting ways. I will be able to contribute to and write marketing strategies, and implement successful PR, advertising and communication campaigns. I am also experienced in keeping and planning to budgets. I have worked with creative, design and IT companies to develop previous campaigns. I am motivated and driven to implement the most effective marketing campaigns for clients. I am able to start work straight away and am flexible on the days and hours I can work. Kind Regards, Vicky

Good evening Simon I'm not going to bore you about how wonderful I am. Suffice to say, I'm a former journalist who has been in Marcomms and PR for 20 years. BA in English, MA in Marcomms, PhD in waffle, and I'm former IPR Associate (gave up because of cost - no point in being a member just to pay them money and have a few silly letters after my name - in fact, our postman has many more letters, so I'm lead to believe!). Have "PR'd" extensively for b2b, b2c, government, blue-chip and even a small picture framing company in South Manchester! Have quite a shed-load of contacts (talked Jeremy Vine into doing an ident for the Community Radio station I'm involved with today). And before you give up the will to live, that's it. Oh! Have written and had published a satirical book on marketing. As I say to my son, call me if you want me (or should I say, PPH-email me if you want me). Kind Regards and good luck with the project Ed

Hi Simon I would be very interested in bidding for this role if you would consider me. I am a former PR Account Director with nine years experience and recently set up as a freelancer. I have experience across all sectors in b2b and b2c communications. I also have extensive experience in writing for web-based media, which differs considerably from a traditional press release in terms of search engine optimisation, etc. Many thanks for your consideration. Kind regards Rob Lawson

Hi Simon, I'd like to be able to bid for the project that you've outlined, however, being relatively new too this site I see that you've gone for the restrictive bidding approach. So in short, how do I get you to allow me to bid? A little bit about myself would probably come in useful at this juncture. I've been involved in Marketing/Sales and PR for the last 18 years or so. I started out working for NCR, before being poached to go and work at Samsung Electronics, and Fujitsu (Fujitsu-Siemens), before leaving there to take up an appoint with Axicom (Hi-Tech PR) and then starting up my own business. As I'm sure you'll appreciate, I've got a very sound grounding in all areas which may effect your business. You can always google me if you wish to know more! Kind regards Charles Bows

Hi Simon, Thanks very much for your message. I have much PR experience (16 years) and I am very diligent and adaptable but have always farmed out market research to specialist companies and then used the results provided. If you are looking for a freelancer to actually undertake the market research as well as handle PR for you then the lady who has also replied to this post maybe able to help. Many thanks Sue

Hi Simon, I would like to bid for this project. I run a business called Wyn Research and provide market research and mareting/pr to business start-ups and SME's. My background prior to setting up Wyn is also in Marketing and PR. Because I work with start-ups and SME's I have worked across a wide range of industries and products. Only recently I conducted a market research report for a Consumer Electronics company who were looking for research and suggestions as to how they could identify and operate a niche segment of this market. They were extremely happy with my findings and implemented my suggestions immediately. On the PR side, I work with businesses to increase awarness through press releases, forum posting, organising launch events, case studies... and so on. I have a standard hourly rate for all my clients and would be happy to hear more about your requirements if you could permit me to bid. Kind Regards Carla Cannon Wyn Research

Hello Sue, our business helps companies and individuals develops products and brand strategy. The type of products we work with will vary over time, however at the moment our main client focus is on consumer electronic products, primarily in portable audio, DAB radio, iPod accessories, TV's and some branded character electronic products. I need a PR and marketing professional who can adapt to a wide range of product groups, but can apply a diligent approach to market research, customer profiling and identify routes to gain PR and coverage. An understanding of both new media opportunities and traditional PR routes would be good,,,,,we will pay by the hour, I guess I thought you may have a standard hourly rate? Hope that helps..Simon

Hi Simon, I believe this project is for a consumer product - would you be able to provide just a little bit more information i.e. - what market the product is in? entertainment/leisure? etc Also what rate are you prepared to pay per hour? or can you give a range? That would be very helpful Many thanks Sue
