PERL (using Catalyst) programmer
We are seeking a proficient PERL (using Catalyst) developer to help with the configuration, analysis and potentially customisation of an existing mature open source application. The base platform set up and accessible on a virtual private server (EC2 on AWS), ready for configuration and evaluation. We are looking for a PERL developer that can work with us to help us set up and configure the child theme (complete instructions available) and then assist with analysis, subsequent functional design (and, if you have the relevant skills, delivery) for us to migrate a number of the application services to service orientated architecture leveraging a more modern cloud-oriented stack and a message bus (we are currently thinking Lambda, AWS Eventbridge). Ideally, we are looking for someone that also possesses full stack developer experience with Javascript (react, node) and AWS or Azure experience.

The current construction of the roof is: Rafters - ~70x70mm at 370-400mm centers A-Frames - 2 beefy a frames, one in the middle and one towards the neighbouring end of the property 200mm x 140mm beams. 250mm x 85mm A sections. 100mm x 80mm inward diagonals. Flat ceiling that has been added in during the conversion that does not appear to be supporting 100x40 and the same centres as the rafters and the fixed to the side of the rafters with a couple of nails. Perlings - There are two chunky ( Upper 140mm x 80mm) ( Lower 180mm x 70mm) peelings on the longer side of the roof and then one very large (200mm x 80mm) perling on the shorter section of roof. First floor construction 150mm x 50mm joists at 400mm centres. these currency span 3.3m either side of the current steel beam. I have added in the architectural floor plans of the existing and the proposed. I have also added in some photos of the property which is half way through the rip out.

LONG VIDEO EDIT: EDUCATION: HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR
We have recently published the testimony of living Holocaust survivor, Ivor Perl. "Ivor Perl was only 12 years old when his family were evicted from their home, robbed of their possessions, loaded into a cattle truck and deported to Auschwitz. A family of eleven, only Ivor and his older brother Alec would survive the Holocaust. His mother, father and five siblings were all murdered by the Nazis. Every day in Auschwitz was a brutal struggle for survival, surrounded by unimaginable horror. Against all the odds Ivor survived the Holocaust and would go on to build a meaningful and fulfilling life in England. This is Ivor’s story, in his own words." - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Chicken-Soup-Under-Tree-Journey/dp/1999378156 --------------------- We have also captured roughly 2hrs of video footage of Ivor talking, which we would like edited into usable video. Ideally we would like to outcomes: 1. A longer edit suitable for education purposes (around 10 minutes) 2. A shorter (video 30 seconds to 2 minutes) to promote the book From a technical perspective the edit is not overly complicated, it will require: 1. Addition of simple start and end screens 2. Simple transitions 3. Sub-titles 4. Watermarking Principally, what we are looking for is someone is who able to independently evaluate the footage and make judgements on the best structure for the video. If this is not feasible then we can provide a basic structure suggestion.

PCRE based URL rewriting feature added to GNU wget
I'm looking for a new feature to be added to GNU Wget which will alter URLs before they are added to the download queue, based on user-provided PCRE (Perl Compatible Regular Expression) patterns. The feature should support multiple PCREs, passed via command line arguments (and optionally via another mechanisms such as input file). Example Syntax: wget --no-clobber --recursive --page-requisites \ --url-replace='s/&foo=\d//g' \ --url-replace='s/AAA/BBB/gi' \ --url-replace='s/(a[0-9])\.bkp\.html$/\1.BACKUP.html/' \ "http://site.tld" [ Note that "--url-replace" does not currently exist, and is there to demonstrate the feature desired ] Given the above command, Wget should apply the patterns given with the "--url-replace" arguments early enough such that checks for the corresponding local file already existing (i.e. --no-clobber) are based on the post-replacement URL's value. A Worked Example: When recursively downloading / mirroring from the start page "https://site.tld/", using the "Example Syntax" command above: - Wget finds the link "https://site.tld/aaa.html?a=1&foo=2&bar=3". - This link is converted into "https://site.tld/BBB.html?a=1&bar=3" after applying the '--url-replace' patterns above (NB: there is a /gi modifier on the second pattern). - If the local file "./site.tld/BBB.html?a=1&bar=3" already exists, the content will not be downloaded. Otherwise, wget will fetch it as normal. - If Wget later finds a link to "https://site.tld/a3.bkp.html", this URL is converted to "https://site.tld/a3.BACKUP.html" before being downloaded and saved at "./site.tld/a3.BACKUP.html" (again, assuming that ./site.tld/a3.BACKUP.html does not already exist) NOTE: If you can suggest another approach to the one above which achieves the same objective and fits within the project budget, I'm willing to consider it. As an example, passing URLs for changes via external script before adding to the queue might be a reasonable approach. Delivery requirements: - You will add the feature to the existing code available from https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/wget/wget-latest.tar.gz (currently: 1.20.3) - You will provide a zip file of the complete source code with the new feature added, and a patch file which can be applied the original (clean) wget-1.20.3 source code. - The updated code will compile cleanly on a Fedora 32/CentOS 8 system with normal wget dependencies already installed via DNF/yum (pcre/pcre2/gnutls/nettle/zlib/libidn2) - The usual commands "make dist clean; ./configure --enable-pcre; make" will work as expected, leaving a ready-to-execute "wget" binary under ./src/wget.
