Article writing
I am looking for an experienced journalist or feature writer to produce a well researched, balanced, and engaging magazine article (1,500–2,000 words) on the controversy surrounding former Meta executive Sarah Wynn-Williams' memoir, Careless People, and the legal actions taken by Meta to limit its promotion and dissemination. The article should go beyond reporting the events and examine the broader implications for freedom of speech, whistleblower protections, corporate accountability, and the public's right to information. It should explore whether attempts by powerful corporations to restrict publications create a chilling effect on free expression, while also presenting Meta's justification for protecting confidential information and contractual obligations. The piece should include: - Background on Sarah Wynn-Williams and her memoir, Careless People. - An overview of Meta's legal response and the reasons behind it. - An analysis of what this case means for freedom of speech and corporate transparency. - Discussion of the wider implications for whistleblowers, investigative journalism, and public trust. - Relevant comparisons with similar cases where corporations attempted to restrict books or public disclosures. - A balanced conclusion that considers both corporate rights and the importance of open public discourse. The article should be original, thoroughly researched, factually accurate, and supported by credible sources. The writing style should be analytical, objective, and suitable for publication in an international current affairs magazine. Please avoid AI generated clichés and unsupported opinions, and ensure the article presents multiple perspectives fairly. Deadline:5 days

British English editor for independent education magazine
I run an independent international magazine about education. Looking for an experienced editor to line edit four or five articles: an editor's letter, a school feature, a teacher portrait, a sports essay. The pieces are drafted. I want them tightened and reshaped, with anything that reads as filler cut. Some are built from interviews, so the voice of the person has to survive the edit. Native British English, working journalist or magazine editor, with a real ear for long-form prose. House rules: no em dashes, no Oxford comma, British spelling. I can tell AI writing immediately and will not accept it. Send your rate and two short samples of your work. I will pick one editor after a short trial edit and continue with them for the rest.
Need help with shopify website
I’d like to improve the overall user experience, visual quality and premium feel of the website. Rather than rebuilding it, I want to refine what we already have and make it feel more polished, modern and intuitive. This is a premium culture magazine website, so the experience should feel editorial rather than like a typical ecommerce store. It should take inspiration from high-end digital publications and luxury brands, with clean layouts, strong typography and immersive imagery. Every page should encourage visitors to discover content naturally before converting into magazine purchases or memberships. Some key improvements I’d like you to make include: * Review the entire website from a UX perspective and identify any friction or unnecessary clicks. * Improve spacing, alignment, typography and visual hierarchy throughout. * Create a more premium editorial aesthetic with consistent layouts across every page. * Refine the homepage to create a stronger first impression and encourage exploration. * Consider a more engaging hero section, potentially using subtle motion or video if it enhances the experience without affecting performance. * Improve the navigation so content is easier to discover. * Enhance article pages to feel more like a premium online publication, with better readability, imagery and related stories. * Simplify the purchase journey by reducing unnecessary clicks between discovering a magazine and checking out. * Improve calls-to-action so they’re more consistent and visually prominent. * Add subtle animations, hover effects and transitions that elevate the experience without becoming distracting. * Optimise the mobile experience so every page feels intentionally designed for smaller screens. * Improve footer layout and overall page structure. * Optimise loading speed, image quality and SEO best practices. Please also use your own design expertise to suggest and implement further improvements where appropriate. I’m looking for a website that feels premium, modern, editorial and culture-led, with attention paid to every small detail. Please review every page individually—not just the homepage—and focus on creating a seamless, high-end experience throughout.
Reel Kiwis Fishing Magazine Logo Design
I’m looking for an experienced logo designer to create a professional logo for Reel Kiwis, a new digital fishing magazine based in New Zealand. The logo must work as both: A magazine title/masthead — suitable for the front cover of a digital magazine, website header, PDF publication and online articles. A social media brand logo — clear and recognisable across Facebook, Instagram, profile images, banners, posts, reels, stories and promotional graphics. I have attached some concept images showing the style and direction I like. These include a premium navy, white/silver and gold colour palette, a kiwi bird, fishing line, hook, rod and a clean New Zealand-inspired look. However, I do not want someone to simply copy the attached designs. I am looking for a designer who can either refine and improve these ideas or create something even better and more original. The logo needs to feel professional, memorable, fishing-focused and suitable for building a proper brand around. It should be strong enough to work on a magazine cover, but also simple and versatile enough to use on social media, caps, polo shirts, stickers and other merchandise. The design should ideally include some connection to New Zealand and fishing. This could include a kiwi bird, fishing rod, reel, hook, fishing line, fern or another subtle New Zealand detail. The text Reel Kiwis must remain the main focus of the design. I would like the final logo to include: A wide horizontal version for the magazine title/masthead A compact version for social media profile images A version suitable for dark backgrounds A version suitable for light backgrounds A one-colour version An embroidery-friendly version for caps and clothing Final editable vector files PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, AI and/or EPS formats Transparent background versions Font details and colour codes Full commercial usage rights The final logo must be original, editable, professional and suitable for both digital and print use. Please do not apply if you only create basic Canva-style logos or low-resolution images. I’m looking for someone who can take the attached ideas and turn them into a polished, professional brand identity for Reel Kiwis — something that works beautifully as a magazine title, across all social media platforms, and on merchandise.

British Motorcycle Brand Logos
Here it is — short, characterful and written in the Dead Cylinder Co. voice: Dead Cylinder Co. — Project Synopsis Dead Cylinder Co. is a new British print-on-demand apparel and art brand with one purpose — keeping the golden age of British motorcycles alive. We're not celebrating the famous names. We're here for the ones the real enthusiasts know. Velocette. Vincent. Ariel. Scott. Douglas. Sunbeam. Francis-Barnett. Matchless. The marques that built extraordinary machines, raced hard, and quietly disappeared. They deserve better than to be forgotten. We're looking for an illustrator who gets that instinctively. Someone who understands the visual language of a 1950s Motor Cycling magazine spread. Who knows what a Velocette Thruxton sounds like, or why the Vincent Black Shadow still makes people stop in their tracks. The work is a series of original designs across two formats — a logo mark and a vintage advertisement poster for each marque. Think period lithograph poster style, bold serif typography, the kind of illustration that could have run in a 1958 issue of The Motor Cycle and looked completely at home. We have an established brand identity, a full brand guide and an existing Archive collection of nine designs to use as style reference. The aesthetic is set. What we need is craft, authenticity and a genuine feel for the era. If you've ever looked at an old Velocette KTT and felt something — this is your project.
Rebuild HTML Brochure in Canva (A4 Magazine)
I have a finished brochure built as an HTML file (it renders as a multi-page A4 brochure in the browser). I need it rebuilt in Canva as a fully editable A4 magazine/brochure, so that I can keep editing it myself in the future. The rebuild must stay faithful to the HTML: same structure, same texts, same layout and visual style. The one substantive change: every product card currently uses a placeholder image. You must replace each placeholder with the correct real product photo, sourced from our website. One Canva file, set up as an A4 brochure / magazine (210 × 297 mm, portrait, multi-page). Delivered by sharing edit access to the Canva design (invite my email / share an editable link). I must be able to open and edit every element directly in Canva: all text editable, all images replaceable, all colors and shapes as native Canva elements. Not a flattened PDF, not uploaded images of pages. It must be a true, editable Canva design. Source materials I will provide The HTML file (the design to replicate). Open it in a browser to see exactly how each page should look. The brand logo (color version + white version for dark backgrounds). Brand fonts: Exo (headings) and Schibsted Grotesk (body) : both free on Google Fonts. Brand colors (hex): Primary (dark): #323045 Secondary (light blue): #7ecbdd Accent (peach): #fbd7a6 Accent (green, small accents only): #41bb5f Core requirements 1. Faithful rebuild of the HTML Preserve the layout, structure, page order, texts and visual style of the HTML exactly. Open the HTML in a browser and match each page as closely as Canva allows. Keep all headings, body copy, prices, labels and USP bars identical to the HTML (copy the text from the HTML; do not rewrite, translate or paraphrase. The text is Dutch and must stay Dutch. Recreate colors, fonts, spacing, diagonal/curved shapes, cards, icons and badges to match. Use the brand fonts and hex colors above. Rebuild elements as native, editable Canva objects (editable text boxes, shapes, image frames): do not drop in screenshots of the HTML pages as flat images. 2. Replace product photos (important) Each product card in the HTML shows a placeholder plus a product name and a price (e.g. "Carrera —. €1.099"). For every card, find the matching product photo on our website and place it in the card, replacing the placeholder. Product photos are organized by product name on the website. Match the card's product name to the correct product page/photo. Source the official product image from that page. Place each photo cleanly inside the card's image frame: consistent crop, centered, same sizing across all cards so the grid stays uniform. Keep the product name and price exactly as in the HTML: only the image changes. If a specific model's photo cannot be found on the website, leave the placeholder in place and add it to a short "not found" list in your handover notes (model name + the page you checked). Do not substitute a random or look-alike image. 3. Other (non-product) images The HTML also contains placeholders for lifestyle/contextual images (cover photo, home-demonstration visual, showroom photos, brand logos of suppliers). For these, leave the placeholder frame in place unless I provide the image separately. Do not invent or use stock images for these without checking with me first. Quality checklist (please self-check before delivery) A4 portrait, multi-page, same page order as the HTML. All text matches the HTML (Dutch, unchanged), fully editable in Canva. Brand fonts (Exo / Schibsted Grotesk) and exact hex colors applied. Every product card has the correct product photo from the website, uniform crop/size. Product names + prices unchanged and correctly paired with photos. USP bar present on the product pages, as in the HTML. Diagonal/curved section shapes, cards, badges and icons recreated as editable elements. Editable Canva link/access shared with me. Handover note included: any "photo not found" models, and any fonts/elements you had to approximate. Notes This is a faithful rebuild, not a redesign. Please don't change the layout, wording or color scheme. All product texts and the website are in Dutch. You do not need to understand Dutch; just copy text verbatim and match product names to photos by their names. Please ask me up front if anything about the layout or a product match is unclear, rather than guessing. What to confirm before you start You can work in Canva and deliver an editable A4 multi-page design (Canva Pro features such as Brand Kit may help but are not required). You're comfortable sourcing ~100+ product photos from the website and placing them consistently. Your estimated turnaround time and price for the rebuild + photo placement.
Brochure design
I have two brochures. I want them redesigned to look more like a magazine /editorial style. So I have the content I just need it put into a nice design. Needs to be done on Canva so that I can update freely when needed. One example is here https://tinyurl.com/OTDBrochure
