Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking for a tele-sales agent or agency that has worked with selling products or services to Schools (private, state, Academy etc...).
We are looking for a long term partnership with said agency, but are not looking for large catch all telemarketer.
The service we are offering to schools is a Political Literacy Course. The course is an AQA accredited 6 week programme aimed at helping young people engage in politics and learn people skills, which in turn helps their confidence and self-image.
What does it cover?
The course covers an introduction into British Politics, International Relations (Britain and the world) and finally Employability and Politics, which covers campaigning, fund-raising, public speaking and debating. In essence, showing young people that politics is in everything we do in life, so it pays to be involved.
People Skills
It emphasises heavily on the teaching of People Skills: The art of verbal communication. The course promotes the ability to speak in public, debate and present a discussion coherently, helping student’s self-esteem and confidence.
International Qualification from AQA
The Political Literacy Course is supported by a qualification from AQA, the largest provider of academic qualifications taught in schools and colleges. At the end of the course, all successful students will receive an AQA Level 2 Unit Award Statement for each successfully completed unit.
Work Experiences
The top 3 students will be set up withwork experience in the political industry (e.g. MPs, Lords, Lobby groups, Charities, newspapers, Broadcasters, Embassies.)
Employability
Even though not all students will want to go into politics as a career choice, the Political Literacy Course will give students the people skills required in any industry as the 6 week course will include: debating, speech writing and how to campaign.
Grande Debate
At the end of each year all schools involved in the programme will participate in a ‘Grande Debate’ launched in parliament by Shout Out UK.
