Apple iPhone App Development - from simple graphical entertainment apps to complex apps that pull and push data via webservices. I have carried out the entire app process from specification through development to submission. I have developed a mix of paid for and free apps on behalf of clients, all of my apps have been approved by Apple first time.
Jessops.com : developed and supported 24/7 the main jessops.com web site. A high transactional ecommerce platform developed in c#.net and MS SQL running on clustered blades, 80% of all sales touch the store and account for over 60M GBP of on-line sales. Role: Strategic development
Sesame; secure web hosted document scan on demand system: fixed IP access, image and data wrappers, SSL, password security policies etc. Supporting national user base of over 200 users. Role: Requirements Capture, System Architecture, Development. (Sesame provides support to more than 7000 advisers, employs more than 500 people and sold 23billion GBP worth of mortgages in 2006)
First Rail Support part of FirstGroup plc (137,000 staff, 5billion GBP turnover) provides the replacement bus services for train companies who require passengers to be moved by coach/bus whilst there are track outages. A new c#.net development valued at over 200,000 GBP was developed, clever innovation such as cell site location for vehicle tracking eventually won the bid and the new system is now live.
