Title:Web site
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
I need to design a website for my small business- a marketing company for hedge funds. I believe I will need around 5 pages with a client login on the homepage in order to access Google Web: (http://sites.google.com/?hl=en&tab=w3&pli=1).
I have the web adress, text, and pictures. In theory, the job should be pretty straight forward. I would also appreciate a recommendation for the site host and other ideas. From time to time, I will also need some site updating. If you do decide to bid, I would like to see examples of your previous work.

M. B. on 16/07/2009 18:05Hi,
You say you have pictures, do you also have a logo?
Thanks,
Marianne
O. R. on 16/07/2009 18:13Hello,
I don't have a logo yet.
M. B. on 16/07/2009 18:16Thanks for responding quickly.
So, do you require a logo design as part of this project?
O. R. on 16/07/2009 18:21I was thinking of using a "Sans Serif" font. Simple and understated. But a logo would be great from a value added point of view!
M. O. on 16/07/2009 23:30Hi,
Can you please confirm if the login is for clients to login to YOUR site or to Google Web?
Thanks,
Mark.
O. C. on 17/07/2009 05:47Hello
Please clarify this part...
client login on the homepage in order to access Google Web: (http://sites.google.com/?hl=en&tab=w3&pli=1).
Kind Regards
G. P. on 17/07/2009 10:41What do you want this site to DO for you? Is it simply an electronic advertising brochure, or do you want some functionality? You say you want a login feature. What will they be logging to do? If the site is to have functionality, then a flat HTKL "electronic brochure" will not suffice. You will need a CM system. Could you provide more detail about the intended functions, because these need to be written into programming - for use either with or without a database.
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
