Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are creating a major new virtual reality system and require a 3D model of the inside of a World War II Flying Fortress Bomber's tail gunner's cockpit.
This model should be created in either Maya or 3DS Max for use in a Unity3D project. We require 2 separate elements of the model, the first being the 3D cockpit design which will need to have the camera placed inside and the second item is the gun which will be articulated around a pivot point in front of the user.
As this is for use in a virtual environment, we will require reasonably high levels of detail on the cockpit.
We will also need to have a level of artistic license to be applied to the design as the original B17 cockpit was not exactly as a novice player would expect, so we are more interested in a design that looks 'right' rather than looks accurate.
I have included a load of reference images below and welcome any questions.
